Community Libraries are established, owned, and managed by and for a specific community, clearly based on community needs. They represent one of many alternative Library models that have emerged since 1980s. community Libraries are often small and and not supported by government funds. They always offer solution and needs to community and develop diverse ways to provide various learning opportunities to marginalized population. this is done not only by providing access to reading materials, but also by offering digital literacy trainings and practical livelihood concerns. as Mathare Community Center Library we’ve always offered solution to our community but through the support from our partners Leapfrog & Media Mundo.
